"New Sparkle at Meyer Gallery"

Inner ThoughtsOver the past three decades Meyer Gallery has nurtured many emerging artists and new genius. The gallery has always represented established and well-respected painters and sculptors. However, part of Meyer Gallery's mission has been a commitment to assisting new talent. Since the gallery is so established, an emerging artist's work must be able to sparkle among the gems already shining there. The gallery has found three new jewels in Pam Ingalls, Jeff Otis, and Todd Williams. Each painter's work is unique yet blends in seamlessly with the collections of the gallery's better-known painters...

...Todd Williams was born in the small farming community of Central City, Nebraska. Since his youth he has been aware of the natural beauty in the world around him, an awareness that he continues to cultivate today in his oil paintings

Evening PathWilliams studied painting and illustration at the Kansas City Art Institute where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Williams drives himself to paint a varied subject matter; landscape, still life, and figures. "I work to create a poetic expression of the subject I am painting. I hope to evoke an emotional response or deep feeling," says Williams from his home in Arkansas.

The majority of the time Williams may be found painting en plein air. "I love painting landscapes on the spot where I find them. When I see a landscape or a scene it hits me instinctively. It may be the light or the visual design pattern. That is what intrigues me."

StacyWilliams has a unique ability to go beyond the surface effects of atmosphere and light. He works to create his authorship of the soul and sentiment of the subject. "Natural beauty found within one's heart can correspond to the natural beauty of light on a still life, figure, or landscape," Williams details. He has found his recognizable voice in this style of painting with spritely, spontaneous brushstrokes and creative virtuosity... - written by Kent Whipple
